Hello People! I’m back with a new launch. Today’s article is to provide you with the glimpses of VLCC’s new affordable launch. It is the complete VLCC Ayurveda face wash range. All these face washes are super ‘sasta’, soap-free, paraben and synthetic colorant free.
VLCC, as a brand has always worked for me. Their products have not been hard on my pocket, plus they are skin-friendly and easily available. My VLCC journey started with their amazing range of home facial kits.
After that, there was no looking back with this brand. So, you may consider me as a capable candidate to review a VLCC product you know!
Let’s not make more small talk and do the real business. Read on to find how the new VLCC face wash range fared on my Oily-to-Combination acne-prone skin.
Product Name: VLCC Ayurveda Face Wash collection with all 3 variants!
Price & Quantity: Rs.55 is the price for 50ml of face wash.
Shelf life: 36 months from the date of manufacturing.
Availability: Available online (currently at VLCC’s own website and Nykaa) and offline (at VLCC counters of beauty stores).
Packaging & Appearance: This face wash comes in a clear plastic flip-top tube. VLCC has beautified these whole Ayurvedic range in a manner that all three cleanser tubes look quite attractive.
Each of them has a theme colour in accordance with the product colour. The Haldi & Tulsi variant is coloured in lemon yellow, the Neem variant is light green and the Haldi & Chandan one has been given chrome yellow colour.
However, the quality of the packaging felt a bit compromised than the other regular face washes from the same brand.
My Haldi & Tulsi face wash had some leaks in the tube opening so there was some product spill-out when I received it. :-/ I think this is how VLCC has been able to lower the price for this Ayurvedic range products than the rest of the face cleansers. Or maybe, it was a defective piece?
Variant – Deep Pore Cleansing & Brightening Haldi & Tulsi
Texture: This variant is lemon yellow in colour and its consistency is liquid-y. The formula is a non-foaming one.
Smell: This one smells like raw turmeric. The smell is not long staying but it does not feel artificial. This reminds me of homemade bridal haldi ubtan.
Variant – Skin Purifying Double Power Double Neem
Texture: This neem based variant has medium fluid consistency and is coloured in light leaf green. Out of the three face washes, this one has the densest texture.
Smell: This product has a sweet herbal smell. Its scent is very similar to Everyuth’s old version of Neem face wash.
Variant -Skin Brightening Haldi & Chandan
Texture: This particular variant has been coloured in deep yellow or yellow chrome. Its texture is similar to the Neem variant that means this one is also thicker than the Haldi & Tulsi variant.
Smell: This cleanser has sandal-saffron kind of smell which felt quite similar to Patanjali’s Saundarya Aloe Vera Gel.
Swatches: In the images below. You can see the difference in the consistency of all the 3 face wash.
My Experience: I must say one thing – whatever the consistency of the variants of these 3 face washes may be, their results on me are the same.
Each one was really good in terms of their cleansing capability. Only a pea-size of product was enough to get rid of all the excess oil and accumulated gunk on my face.
None of them made my combination-to-oily facial skin feeling dry and stretchy which is really nice. I have at least 2-3 active pimples currently. These products did not affect them or produced any other kind of skin irritations including new breakouts.
These are completely soap-free formula so they do not produce any kind of foam. Still they worked nicely with my facial brush. Most non-lathering face washes do not perform well with exfoliating brushes.
According to the ingredient list, these products have herbal actives in higher concentration and the harmful ingredients are not at all used. This is perhaps the reason behind my increasing soft-corner towards this new range.
1. Ayurvedic formulation
2. No paraben, foaming agent or artificial colouring
3. Every variant cleans my face thoroughly in a non-drying way
4. Brings a healthy glow to the skin and removes excess oil from my face
5. Does not irritate my skin
6. All the variants smell really nice and herbal
7. The entire range is very budget-friendly
1. Packaging could have been better
2. One of them had a leaky packaging
Jhalli Diva Rating: 4.5/5
Will I Repurchase?
Yes! I will repurchase these face washes again and again because their performance is remarkable; plus there are very few facial cleansers in India without harmful chemicals like these ones in this alluring price point.
Do I Recommend?
Yes! I would recommend these face washes to everyone including sensitive skinned girls because these face washes are ‘Ayurvedic Proprietary Medicine’ rather than mere facial washes. The chances of adverse reaction will be lower.
Overall Summary: I find the new VLCC Ayurvedic face washes awesome quality, quantity and economy wise. They give me a thoroughly cleansed fresh face with natural glow. No doubt, VLCC have brought back the goodness of our ancient ayurveda to us again in those tiny face wash tubes.
PS: It is not sponsored. All the views and thoughts are of my own!
