Neutrogena Fine Fairness Toner Review

(Last Updated On: March 17, 2019)

Today I’ll be reviewing Neutrogena Fine Fairness toner. I was at home for the break and I was out of my usual toner. Since I didn’t want to get a new one there, I used my mom’s toner over the break and brought it along with me to hostel.

Packaging & Appearance: It comes in a clear plastic bottle and has a silver screw-on cap. It has a stopper with a hole which makes getting the product on cotton pad easy, without any spillage.

It’s leak proof and sturdy. The bottle slipped from my hands at least 5-6 times and is still intact. The toner looks clear and has a watery consistency.

My Experience: I started using it since ending of November. I have oily skin most of the year around but it feels a bit dry during winters.

The toner feels sticky when applied on face and I felt I could feel a layer of it on my face as it dried. I didn’t like the product at first as I don’t really like moisturizing toners.

I used it for 2-3 days because I was in a crunch and on the third day I did see my complexion even-ing out. My skin looked much more plump and hydrated and even the pores weren’t visible.

It was so moisturizing that sometimes I wanted to skip applying moisturizer! (I didn’t!)

Oily skin people might want to stay away from it because although it’s non-comedogenic, it still feels heavy on your face & would make your face shiny

I used it mostly at nights under a thick moisturizer. I didn’t feel comfortable enough wearing it during daytime or when out because it made my face shiny and sticky. I didn’t see any fairness as such but it did even out my skin tone.

It has niacinamide, which is a brightening and anti-ageing ingredient. My mom uses it as it prevents hyper-pigmentation and fades sun spots to an extent.

It’s difficult to get products which don’t break you out and moisturizes as most of the products meant for moisturizing are comedogenic. So if you have dry/combination skin and are acne prone then go ahead.

1. Super moisturizing
2. Evens skin tone and fades marks up to an extent
3. Non-comodogenic
4. Plumps and hydrates skin reducing the visibility of pores
5. Anti-ageing
6. Allergy tested
7. Contains vitamin C

1. Feels extremely heavy on face
2. Face feels sticky after the toner dries
3. No fresh feeling or soothing feeling
4. Doesn’t absorb easily into skin
5. No immediate brightening effect
6. Doesn’t whiten
7. No travel size bottle

Jhalli Diva Verdict: 3.5/5

Will I Repurchase?

Maybe coming winter as its so hydrating.

Do I Recommend?

If you want a non-comodogenic toner which doesn’t contain silicones and doesn’t dry out skin then go ahead.

Overall Summary: It’s a moisturizing toner which doesn’t clog pores and helps in brightening your skin and helps in fading sun spots.
