While looking for a matte lipstick under 500 bucks, I stumbled upon Miss Claire Soft Matte lip cream and can’t stop buying them! Today, I’m sharing Miss Claire Soft Matte Lip Cream Review for the 8 shades I own, currently.
It’s neither a lipstick nor a gloss. It’s lipstick but looks matte. This is what the brand has to say about these beauties. Let’s check them out!
Product Name: Miss Claire Soft matte Lip Cream
Shades: I have the shades 01, 08, 10, 12, 20, 38, 42, 57
Ingredients: Isohexadecane, pentaerythrityl tetraisoaterate, disteardimonium hectorite, dimethicone, beeswax, glyceryl behenate/ eicosadioate, dimethicone/dimethicone crosspolymer, talc, propylene carbonate, methyl methacrylate crosspolymer, silica, aluminum starch octenylsuccinate, phenoxyethanol, parfum
Claims: It also claims to be cruelty free i.e. not tested on animals and hypoallergenic.
Availability: I got it from a seller on Instagram and from a local store in Jaipur. It is also available online. You can buy here.
Packaging & Appearance: It comes in a cylindrical plastic bottle which is transparent. So, the colour is visible from the tubes which makes it easy to find and distinguish them.
It has a lightweight and travel friendly packaging. So,thumbs up to that!
Smell: It smells like vanilla to me. It’s amazing, although the smell isn’t strong and doesn’t last for long so people with sensitive noses won’t have a problem.
Swatch: From left to right shade 01, 08,10,12,20,38,42,57
Shelf Life: While unopened, can last for 3 years. Once opened, it’s best to use it within 12 months.
My Experience: Being a college student, I was looking for some budget friendly matte lipsticks. That’s when I came across Miss Claire soft matte lip creams.
True to their claim, it looks like a gloss and after a minute turns into a super matte lipstick which easily stays for 3-4 hours.
With light snacks it lasts 3-4 hours but with oily food, it stays for 2 hours at the most. And might need a touch up, but that’s usually not an issue for me.
It smells like vanilla which I really like, but fret not if you have a sensitive nose as the smell doesn’t last long.
Most of the shades I own would look amazing on every skin tone except shade 57 which is a nude which works well for fair skin tone beauties.
My absolute favorites from this range are shade number 10, 38, and 42. Shade number 10 is a beautiful red with blue undertones which makes me feel like a diva every time I apply it.
Shade number 38 is a beautiful pink which was my first pink shade so it’s close to my heart. It’s a warm pink shade which is perfect for day wear.
And last but not the least shade number 42 which is my MLBB shade. It’s a brick red shade which suits my pigmented lips perfectly and looks amazing. This shade is a little different from the usual red shades but that makes it unique and I’ll say it is a must buy!
These lip creams cover pigmentation in just one swipe and two swipes are enough to give the perfect look. I usually wait a minute before applying the second coat as that makes it last longer and appear smoother.
And like with all matte lipsticks, I first scrub my lips and then apply the lipstick. Scrubbing is important as it removes all the dead cells and makes your lips ready.
This ensures that the lipstick goes on smoothly and won’t settle into fine lines, which is usually an issue with matte lipsticks.

Overall Summary: Miss Claire Soft Matte lip cream is my current favorite and go to lipstick. It is easy to apply and are not heavy on the lips. Last long enough and there is no problem of smudging afterwards.
These are definitely worth giving a try if you haven’t already. There are many amazing shades to choose from and I’m sure you will find some (or many) that you would end up loving. And if you are lucky enough to find a good seller, they would cost you less than a tinted lip balm! 😀
