Maybelline Fit Me Skin Fit Powder Foundation

(Last Updated On: December 17, 2019)

I don’t know about you guys but I often switch between ‘makeup-maniac’ mode and ‘no makeup’ mode. Though these looks varies greatly but common to both is tinted powder, probably the Maybelline Fit Me Powder Foundation.

It can also be a simple tinted loose powder, a tiny pan of compact or even a foundation in powder form.

Out of these three my vote goes to powder foundation as I can’t handle loose powder well and regular compacts provide almost no coverage.

I don’t like applying a proper foundation or BB cream on a regular basis.

Naturally, I buy mineral foundations or powder foundations. Powder foundations not only set the makeup or mattify the oily parts of my face but they come with decent amount of coverage for my day to day looks.

Today I am going to blabber on Maybelline Fit Me! Skin-Fit Powder Foundation which is a new addition to Maybelline all time bestseller Fit Me range.

Product Name: Maybelline Fit Me Skin Fit Powder Foundation

Price & Quantity: $7.99 for 9gm

Shelf Life: 30 months

Availability: It is available both online and offline. Buy on Ulta.

How to Use: This foundation needs to be applied to the face and neck with the blending sponge provided in the pack.

This is a wet and dry product. For wet application dampen the sponge and squeeze the excess water and then blend.

Packaging & Appearance: The cake foundation comes in a black plastic casing container with a mirror attached to the lid. The container is wider than most compacts and it houses two separated pan containers.

The pan on the left is kept for foundation and the right side is for square shaped sponge applicator. It is detachable so that you can replace it with a refill when the product gets over.

Since it is a wet-dry product, the wet sponge might cause bacterial contamination. To prevent such issues the brand has provided porous pan for sponge side to air dry the sponge.

The packaging looks chic and travel-safe.

Texture: The texture of this foundation is extremely smooth and soft. The powder is finely milled and gives even application on the skin.

It is extremely blendable. It gives a nice matte finish to the skin without being cakey.

Shade: This foundation is available in 7 shades. The shades are numbered and individually named. The most interesting fact is that, the shades are same as the Fit Me!foundation.

If you know your shade in the Fit Me range then you can pick your shade in this foundation without swatching.

Maybelline Fit Me Powder Foundation 128 Warm Nude

This makes online purchasing so easy for this product. I am in the shade 128 Warm Nude.

My Fit Me shade used to be 128 but now I have been able to get rid of sun tans completely so my current shade is 115.

Still, this foundation works perfectly fine for me as it adapts to my skin tone.

Smell: It is a fragrance free product.

My Experience:

10 Best Foundations for Oily Skin Beauties!

L’Oreal Infallible Pro Matte 24HR Foundation

I always like skin-like finish in my base makeup. I feel, it’s not very healthy to apply layers of makeup on a regular basis. So, I opt for sheer to medium coverage foundations.

To set my foundation I always use powder foundations in place of regular compacts. Powder foundations have more blend-ability and they often provide dewy finish to the skin.

This new Fit Me! powder foundation fits my bill perfectly. It is a very lightweight powder yet it provides certain amount of coverage. Helps to set the foundation without exaggerating the dry areas of my combination skin.

Maybelline Fit Me Powder Foundation Compact

This powder foundation also increases the blend-ability of other makeup products like powder blush, highlighter.

It claims to provide skin like finish and it certainly makes the face look naturally bright and fresh.

Skin Fit powder foundation controls shine for 3-4 hours. I normally do a touch up after that.

It does not look cakey on touch up. But, you have to be considerate on the amount of product you are using. I have also tried it wet. Wet application increases the coverage slightly.

You might not see a huge change on wet application. I did not notice new pimples or zits of clogged pores after repeated use so this one will go for acne prone skin. The creamy powder will suit dry skin as well!

Pros:

  1. Wet & dry powder foundation that suits almost all skin types
  2. Available in 7 shades; shade names are same as Fit Me! foundation so buying online is super easy
  3. Smooth and fine texture; not powdery
  4. Blends like dream
  5. Provides instant brightening effect with zero cakeyness
  6. Doesn’t cling to dry part of the skin
  7. Adapts to skin’s natural tone
  8. Comes with a wide mirror
  9. Refilling mechanism is there

Cons:

  1. Coverage might feel sheer to some

Jhalli Diva Verdict: 4.5/5

Will I Repurchase?

I like how it blurs out my facial pores and gives a bright and even toned skin. I am definitely repurchasing this little beauty.

Since this is a replaceable pack, next time I will purchase the refill and fix it in the main casing. This saves a lot of money!

Do I Recommend?

Yes! I would like to recommend it to normal, oily and dry skinned girls. Those with pimple problem will also love this lightweight non pore-clogging compact.

If you are looking for a sheer coverage foundation for daily use, do buy this one. You’ll love this!

Overall Summary: Just like Maybelline’s other Fit Me products, this powder foundation is also an excellent makeup goody to have in your kitty. This buttery smooth cream compact can be a hidden gem in your collection.

There are 7 shades to choose from so everyone will find a suitable shade. Even if you bought 1-2 shades lighter or darker than your skin, this is going to adapt to your skin tone.

Overall, this SPF 32 PA+++ enriched wet and dry foundation is worth a try.
