I’m sure you must have seen the TV commercial about this combo! I did too and decided to get one for myself. I’m talking about the Maybelline Baby Lips & Winter Flush Tinted Lip Balm. For the uninitiated, it’s your good old Baby Lips only, but with a freebie, that goes by the name of Winter Flush Tinted Lip balm. So basically at the price of one, you get two lip products. But is it worth it? Let’s find out in the Maybelline Baby Lips Cherry Kiss & Winter Flush Tinted Lip Balm review!
Product Name: Maybelline Baby Lips in the shade Cherry Kiss & Winter Flush Tinted Lip Balm in the shade Strawberry Crush – free combo offer.
Price & Quantity: It costs INR 190 for 4g of Baby Lips and 9ml of tinted lip balm.
Shelf Life: Both of them to be used within 36 months from the date of manufacturing.
Availability: Easily available online. I’ve not spotted these in stores. But I do think Maybelline counters should be having it. You can buy here on Amazon at Rs. 10 off!
Ingredients: In the image below.
Packaging & Appearance: Maybelline Baby Lips comes in the standard lip balm roll on case. Packaged in a pretty cherry red roll-on, upon removing the cap, you come across the balm which is of the same color. So, it’s color coded. Cute, tiny, simple yet classy is what it speaks of.
Next up is the Tinted Lip Balm, it comes in a gray & transparent combo tube with the details mentioned on it. You can see how much of the product is left. Clearly stated, it’s a free sample and not for sale.
Smell: Lip balm has a sweet fruity fragrance to it, probably to depict the cherry flavor.
Similarly, the tinted lip balm also has a sweet fruity smell, kind of strawberries as the name suggests. The smell is mild which goes away soon. So it should not be a concern to bothersome noses.

My Experience: 1. Maybelline Baby Lips Cherry Kiss – I absolutely love the Maybelline Baby Lips. It is surely a must try lip balm. Baby Lips is affordable, cute and travel friendly. They come in different varieties as well.
The best thing is that it works good. Hydrates your lips and give a light tint of color. What I don’t like about it is that it doesn’t work on chapped and super dry lips. It doesn’t repair your lips but takes care of it.
2. Maybelline Winter Flush Tinted Lip Balm – Straightaway cutting the chase, it is almost similar to the good old petroleum jelly in appearance as well as work; but with a pleasant fragrance and color.
But the color isn’t pigmented and isn’t much visible once applied on to the lips. It does a great job of hydrating & moisturizing your lips and imparts a glossy effect just like a petroleum jelly.
I use it mostly for my lip art to turn the matte lipsticks to gloss as I’m somewhat bored with the matte trend. It should take a back seat now! I like Maybelline Winter Flush Tinted Lip Balm summery strawberry fragrance, so I prefer it over the regular petroleum jelly.
1. Baby lips has SPF 20
2. Winter flush has UV filters to protect thy lips
3. Maybelline Baby Lips hydrates well
4. Dermatologist & allergy tested
5. Cool one on one offer
1. The pigmentation is translucent
2. Doesn’t moisturize for 16 hours as per it’s claim
3. Offline Availability
Jhalli Diva Verdict: 4/5 to Maybelline Baby Lips Cherry Kiss & 3.75 to the Maybelline Winter Flush Tinted Lip Balm as the latter one is so useful to me, personally!
Will I Repurchase?
I don’t know, for now I just want the tinted lip balm only but it’s not available separately.
Do I Recommend?
If you love Baby Lips, yes please, else skip it. But I don’t find any problem with the free tinted lip balm as it’s free and already mentioned that it’s a tinted, no claims of pigmentation is being done.
Overall Summary: I like it personally and will recommend if you like Baby Lips. Overall, I liked the offer and both the products. They never claimed to be pigmented as your lipstick, clearly mentioned that they are “tinted & translucent”. Irrespective of the name, I feel they’re pretty usable in summer as well!
