Hello lovely ladies, being a working woman, it becomes necessary to look presentable in front of clients. I am not into heavy makeup on daily basis but kajal and a dash of lip gloss does the trick for me. You got the hint, today I’m talking about MAC Technakohl Eye Liner Kajal Review and Swatches.
I have been using Kajal for years now. My eyes look rather untidy without using Kajal now. I am not the kind of a person who would stick to a particular brand.
This time I thought of giving MAC Technakohl a shot. Without more delay, let us move on to the review.
Product Name: MAC Technakohl liner Eye Liner Kajal
Price and Quantity: It is priced at Rs 1200 for 0.35g.
Shelf Life: Use before 3 years from the date of manufacturing.
Swatches: In the image below.
Claims: MAC calls this product a mechanical pencil style eye liner with a soft and creamy formulation that delivers intense color.
Ingredients: Please check out the image below.
Packaging & Appearance: This kajal comes enclosed in typical Black carton from MAC. The key ingredients, shade name and other important info about the product are printed on the box in white color.
The kajal has a plastic body. It comes in a twist up format. The length of the kajal bullet is sufficient and I did not feel cheated on the quantity.
The tip was pointed initially but after use, it has grown slanting. I use alternate sides for a thick and thin streak, respectively.
My Experience: Mac Technakohl Eye Liner Kajal is fragrance free and does not irritate my eyes. It d oesn’t get washed off with a face wash.
You need a creamy cleanser to remove it entirely. This one can be used as an eyeliner as well but frankly, I have not tried it that way.
Since, it is good in most areas discussed below, I trust it would do well as an eyeliner, as well.
Texture: The MAC Technakajal has a soft texture and is really smooth. The lead is soft and comfortable to swipe over eyes.
To avoid breakage, expose only a small length of the eye liner lead while applying it to your eyes.
I would also suggest that you store it in a cool and dry place as the product gets brittle when stored in hot environment.
In just one swipe I can give a sharp definition to my eyes. The eyeliner is quite pigmented so just one stroke on the waterline does the work for you.
But if one wants to apply it boldly then it should be rubbed twice or thrice.
Shade and Color Pay Off: The shade I own is called Graph Black. It is a matte, pitch black color. It works great to prominently define the shape of your eyes.
For a good colour pay off, I use small strokes approx. three times on a single section.
Staying Power: It stays on quite nicely and I do not have to reapply it during my 9 to 5 shift. Talking of smudging, you can be carefree.
Apply it and let it settle for one minute and it would not bleed or smudge for a good number of hours.
To my utter surprise, it does not get smudged even on rubbing, unless you rub in too vigorously on oily lids.
- Good pigmentation
- Satisfactory color pay off
- Smudge free
- Creamy texture
- Does not make eyes watery
- Long lasting
- User friendly packaging
- Quality controlled product
- No need f touch ups for a good span of time
- Lots of chemicals
Jhalli Diva Verdict: 4/5
Do I Recommend?
Decent black colored eyeliner cum kajal which is suitable for all Indian skin tone. But it is a little costly and contains bunch of chemicals. Though it doesn’t irritate my eyes and is long lasting! So, yeah you can go for it.
Will I repurchase?
I would surely love to repurchase it but I really wish there is a price drop!
Overall Summary: I would definitely give the MAC Technakohl a thumbs up. It is a good product that justifies its cost and claims.
It performs well in all aspects. The cost might be a deterrent but if you get it on sale, grab it!!
