There is certainly nothing such as so many lipsticks! This is why this post is all about Lakme Absolute Lip Pout (Matte finish) Review. Here I’m sharing my take on 3 shades out of the 6 in this range.
About Lakme Absolute Lip Pout: These lipsticks were launched during the Lakme Fashion Week. They come in 6 different shades.
Out of the lot, I’m reviewing 3 of them here. So let’s get started with the Lakme Absolute Lip Pout Review.
Price and Quantity: INR 650 for 3.5 gm. You can get it here at discount.
They are priced at INR 650 or $10 which is pretty pocket friendly considering it comes from a trusted brand like Lakme.
Shelf Life: 2 years/24 months
Smell: Fruity fragrance side but not overpowering aroma.
Swatch: In the image below.
Packaging: The packaging is pretty standard. They come in black box with all the details written in white. I personally like the white font but otherwise there is nothing too special about the packaging.
Talking about lippies, they have standard twist up mechanism. What I like about them is the color tube which makes them look cute and attractive.
I think Lakme wanted to target younger women with the packaging of these lip crayons and they have successfully achieved it! 😀
Lasting Power: Lakme has advertised these lip pouts as long lasting and they do last long enough. I have to retouch them once on a standard 9am to 7pm day which is pretty awesome.
Shades: Lakme Absolute Lip Pout is available in 6 different popping colours, namely:
1. Tangerine Touch
2. Magenta Magic
3. Starlet Red
4. Raving Red
5. Pink Fantasy
6. Scarlet Rose
Tangerine Touch – Just as the name suggests, this shade gives you a nice orangy color. It really adds a pop to your lips.
The shade looks great in photographs. This colour looks beautiful on fair to medium wheatish complexion.
I will not suggest this shade for darker skin tones. This is by far my favorite shade in this category.
Magenta Magic – Another lovely shade in the Lakme Absolute Lip Pouts range. This one is more on the plum, burgundy colour palette rather than magenta. It works best for evening looks.
Starlet Red – Not a true red color, but definitely a nice deep red. Personally, if you are into red lipsticks and bold lip color this one is definitely worth a try.
My Experience: Almost all the shades are bright colors. They automatically leave the stain on the lips. As the name suggests, they do provide a good matte finish.
On the flip side, they leave lip stain on anything you eat or drink! But that’s the case with any bright colored lipstick and I have made my peace with it.
Another plus point about these lip tints is that they have good moisturizing power. You need not use a lip balm before application.
They do not leave the lips feeling dry which is superb for any every day wear lipstick.
PS: All photos are taken in natural light.

Jhalli Diva Verdict: 4/5
Do I recommend?
Do try if you love lipsticks and matte trend is surely not dying any soon! But the colours are generic and nothing unique.
But these lip tints are quite adorable and pocket friendly. The shelf life is also decent (24 months).
Overall Summary: I really feel Lakme should launch more shades in these lip crayons. Maybe some shades of nude and brown. But overall, these lipsticks are superb considering the price.
