What’s a Konjac Sponge? It’s a sponge which is sponge like by no means. Well confused, are you? Don’t be as today I’m sharing my experience on the Japanese Konjac Sponge, now easily available in India.
These are available in different shapes and sizes, such as star or sphere. In my case, it’s a cute heart shaped mint green colored sponge.
Konjac Sponge – Review, Price, Benefits, Availability in India
Before beginning, let me tell you a little about this beauty. It’s 100% natural, biodegradable and preservatives free. Isn’t that amazing?
It’s a sponge well suited for your face as well as body. But I definitely recommend using different pieces for face and body.
Initially the scrubber is hard and stiff. But after you rinse it in warm water, you’ll notice it softening and almost doubling in size.
It’s also available in different variant such as Pure White, Cherry Blossom, Green Tea, Bamboo Charcoal, etc.
How to use?
Rinse in warm water and allow the sponge to fully absorb water. Gently massage face with it. No cleanser required but it works good with non foaming cleanser.
Konjac is quite hard when dry, so wait patiently for it to soften up else you might injure yourself.
3 months is estimated shelf life. But it depends up on the usage. If you’re using it frequently, say thrice or more per week, it’s going to wear off soon.
It’s recommended to change it every 6 months for the sake of hygiene. If you notice any degradation in quality, swap with a new one.
It’s priced around INR 600-1000.
