Rose water is one such beauty product that is well-known and used by everyone since the olden times. It is a very versatile product used in face packs, face mists and so many other beauty rituals. I have loved and used rose water so much. There are many brands that have rose water but you never know if they’re pure or not. I have recently started using the Kama Ayurveda Rose Water and it claims to be pure, the brand actually itself says that all its products are natural. So let us see how it works for me!
Product Name: Kama Ayurveda Pure Rosewater
Price & Quantity: INR 275 for 50ml
Shelf Life: Best before two years from the date of manufacturing.
Availability: It is available offline at Kama Ayurveda stores and online. Buy here.
Ingredients: Not mentioned.
Packaging & Appearance: The rosewater comes in a translucent plastic spray bottle which is in dark brown in colour and on the bottle all the details regarding the product are mentioned. It has a transparent cap on top as well. The spray is not very fine so if you directly spray it on your face there will be tiny little droplets. Otherwise, the packaging is simple and travel friendly.
Variants: It comes in a bigger size as well which is for Rs. 1050 for 200 ml. Also, there are other Kama Ayurveda waters available which includes mogra and lavender.
Claims: In the image below.
How to Use: Just spray it on your face directly or spray it on a cotton pad and swipe all across your face.
Texture: The texture of this spray is water like. Nothing different from other rose waters.
Smell: It smells like roses. Again nothing different here, just like how other rose waters smell.
Swatch: In the image below.
My Experience: I had a box of Kama Ayurveda signature products and this rose water was one of them. It individually retails for 275 for 50 ml which is expensive for a rose water. I tried it many times but I didn’t notice any difference at first. So then I compared this Kama Ayurveda rosewater with a regular rose water and I did notice a slight difference.
This Kama Ayurveda rose water is more refreshing and made my skin hydrated as compared to the regular one. But other than that I didn’t notice any difference whatsoever. And to be honest there are plenty of mists that are available in the market which offer the same qualities or maybe even more and also offer a good quantity at an affordable price.
If I had used this rose water daily when I first got it then it would have been finished up in just two weeks and paying this much amount for a rose water is seriously isn’t worth it. That is literally all I had to say about it.
● It is refreshing
● Hydrates the skin
● Travel friendly
● Less quantity
● Not much effective
● No ingredient list on the bottle
Jhalli Diva Verdict: 2/5
Will I Repurchase?
No, unfortunately I won’t repurchase this as there are plenty of rose waters available at a cheaper price. There are also many other mists available which are much effective and have a good quality as well. I’ll rather buy mogra or lavender mists from Kama Ayurveda but not this as there are plenty of regular rose waters available.
Do I Recommend?
Um, no. Although it is natural but I don’t think I’ll really recommend it to anyone based on my experience unless someone uses only “natural” products or their skin is of such type which only allows them to use natural products. So if you’re fine with using other rose waters then you can definitely skip on this.
Overall Summary: All I want to say I don’t recommend this rose water because you’ll get nothing in return. It just provides you with a little refreshment and hydration and nothing else. It is not a good investment of your money. You will easily get other mists for your face and they might be much better than this. So, feel free to skip this!
