I have 2-3 shampoo in my kitty almost all the time. Out of which, today I will be sharing my experience with Garnier Ultra Blends Revitalizing Shampoo with 5 Precious Herbs which I use as a scalp cleanser. Why 2 to 3 shampoo at a time, you ask?
If you have oily scalp and dry hair like me then you must know how painful it is to keep your hair healthy and voluminous at the same time. If I use too moisturizing shampoo my hair feels oily in just one day.
Again if I use cleansing shampoo too much my hair becomes rough and frizzy. To solve this problem, I mix-and-match both types of shampoo. According to my hair’s condition I decide my shampoo just before washing my hair!

To know how it works on me, please read on.
Product Name: Garnier Ultra Blends Revitalizing Shampoo in 5 Precious Herbs
Description: Garnier claims to have added 5 precious herbs in Ultra Blend Revitalizing shampoo. They’re as follows:
- Green Tea
- Aloe Vera
These 5 herbs are quite beneficial for your hair. This made the whole product much more promising to me. The above mentioned herbs help you get soft and shiny hair naturally.
Price & Quantity: Rs. 55 for 75 ml
Ingredients: See in the image below.
Shelf Life: 4 months from the date of packaging.
Availability: This hair wash from Garnier’s new Ultra Blend range is widely available online. It can be easily found in most of the beauty stores and departmental stores also.
Packaging & Appearance: The product comes in a light green plastic flip-top bottle. In the front side of the bottle there sits the company logo, product name and a cute label graphics depicting the main constituents of the shampoo.
All the important information regarding the product (the claims, ingredients, shelf life etc.) are mentioned in the backside. Overall the packaging is travel friendly, spill-proof and sturdy.
Smell: This shampoo has mild citrus-y smell. The fragrance is not overpowering and lingers for 2-3 hours after rinsing off.
Swatch: In the image below.
My Experience: I use this shampoo whenever I need to deep cleanse my hair. I take a considerable amount of it in my palm and dilute in a few drops of water. Then I apply it in my wet hair concentrating mostly on the roots.
Then with light hands, I massage my scalp thoroughly. When enough lather is produced I apply a tiny bit of shampoo to the ends and massage again. Finally I rinse it completely off my scalp and hair.
I follow the process of hair cleansing with application of generous amount of oil-in-cream from the same range. This shampoo cleanses my scalp and hair from the grime and dirt accumulated in my hair due to pollution and product build up.
My hair feels light and bouncy. This shampoo gives best result if my hair has been oiled the previous day.
1. Paraben free
2. Contains the extracts of five herbal ingredients (green tea, aloe, lemon, henna and eucalyptus)
4. Cleanses scalp and hair thoroughly
1. Not entirely chemical free; still contains silicone and sulphate
Jhalli Diva Verdict: 4/5
Will I Repurchase?
Yes. I will repurchase this again in summer when my hair feels very oily. This would not be a staple for winter as my hair becomes dry in the colder months. In the meantime, I would like to try other variants from the same range.
Do I Recommend? Yes. I will recommend this shampoo to someone who is searching for a paraben free budget hair wash to cleanse hair from dirt, grime and product build-up.
Overall I find this one to be a nice clarifying shampoo.
So, that’s all about Garnier Ultra Blends Revitalizing Shampoo in 5 Precious Herbs. Have you tried this? What is your favourite hair cleanser?
Until next time,
