Hello People! Another installment to our 2 to 3 Ingredients Only list is here. Yep! It is DIY Eye Serum For Puffiness, Dark Circles & Wrinkles – 2 Ingredients Only.
Today we will be talking about common under eye concerns like dark circles, pigmentation, puffiness, wrinkles and so on. I think, I am the best person to talk about these troubles because I got hereditary dark circle problem plus years of wearing specs have given me a best friend called racoon eyes!
In the last 2-3 years I have tried almost all affordable eye creams but not a single product could bring about any striking change. So, this time I thought about going ‘all organic’ and that is how this Eye Serum recipe found its place in my vanity.
I am a bit skeptical about putting lots of ingredients in my delicate under eye area. So this serum is based on two ingredients and nothing else. Wanting to know the details? Grab some snacks and read on.
What do this 2 Ingredient Eye Serum do?
This 2 ingredient Eye Serum is a versatile product. It helps with almost all eye area related problems. Here I am listing a few of its benefits:
- It helps to lighten dark circles
- It nourishes and rehydrates moistureless under eye area
- It delays wrinkles in the eye area and Crow’s feet problem if used regularly from an early age
- It aids in thickening out thin eyebrows
- It relaxes the muscles of the eye area after a tiring day
- It helps to grow eyelashes denser and longer
- Aloe Vera Gel
- Sweet Almond Oil or Rogan Badam
Preparation Time: Ummm…5 minutes maximum
- Take 1 tablespoon sweet almond oil in a bowl.
- Add 1 tablespoon aloe vera gel in it.
- Mix, mix and mix until both the ingredients get blended completely.
- Store in an air-tight container to prevent contamination.
For the summer months, it is best to apply this eye serum when you are going on with your night skin care routine if you have oily skin like mine.
If you have dry skin, you can use it once more along with your morning skin care regimen. Take a little serum in the ring finger of both the hands and massage in both the eyes simultaneously.
Use gentle circular movements while massaging and keep on massaging until the serum gets completely absorbed into the skin. To relax my eyes, I like to apply it chilled.
Since both the ingredients are harmful chemical free and skin-friendly, chances of adverse effect are quite less. Still, a patch test is a must because you never know when your skin reacts the other way.
Why Aloe Vera Gel & Sweet Almond Oil?
Here is why I separated only these two ingredients out of the forest of herbal ingredients for my eye serum.
Aloe Vera Gel – If you follow Jhalli Diva, then you must be aware of 101 benefits of aloe vera gel no doubt! Aloe vera, also called ‘the plant of immortality’, comes with amazing healing property due to the presence of some of the best anti-oxidants.
It helps to tone the eye area, prevents premature ageing and treats pigmentation. My under eye dark circle is majorly due to sunburn and no other easily available ingredient can reduce sunburn like aloe vera.
Sweet Almond Oil – Sweet Almond Oil or Rogan Badam is another great ingredient known as an ayurvedic cure of hyper-pigmentation.
This oil boosts collagen production and blood circulation, so the skin renewal process hikes up, premature aging is decelerated and the eye muscles are soothed.
Almond oil, working as an after-sun skin balm, helps to cancel out the harmful effects of the sun while the emollients present in it moisturizes dry under eye area.
