Charcoal Anti Blackhead Mask Review – Before & After

(Last Updated On: July 21, 2019)

Hello beauties, I am back with another review in which I would be telling you all about the Charcoal Anti Blackhead Mask – which was internet most discussed blackhead remover lately. Luckily, I got this at a local cosmetics store. I read a lot about this product, so I couldn’t wait anymore to buy and use it. I kind of like this product, but read the detailed version of the review below:

Charcoal Anti Blackhead Mask

Product Name: Charcoal Anti Blackhead Mask

Price & Quantity : You can get it for $9-15. You can buy on Amazon here.

Ingredients: Water, Polyvinyl Alcohol, Bamboo Charcoal, Sodium Hyaluronate, Aloe Vera (Aloe Barbadensis) Extract, Methylisothiazolinone, IodopropynylButylcarbamate, Essence.

Claims: The activated charcoal present in this mask cream removes blackhead from deep inside the pores and contract the large pores leaving the skin feel delicate and fresh. It doesn’t dry out the skin.

Availability: It is available both online & offline.

Charcoal Anti Blackhead Mask Review and usage

Packaging & Appearance: Charcoal Mask Cream Anti-Blackhead comes in a plastic tube with flip-open cap and an outer cardboard box. The quality of the packaging is really good and the color is majorly black and white which I really like. Everything written on this box is in Chinese, but I have Google translator. (Yeah!)

The pack has all the details like ingredients list, shelf life, claims, how to use, etc. on it. The consistency of the mask cream is thick (like a glue) and it is black in color.

Smell: It smells like fevicol (white glue) mixed with floral scents. I really like the way it smells, though. It stays on the face until you peel it off.

Swatch: See the image below.

Shelf life: The expiry date written on this pack is 2020/04/11 but the date of mfg. is not mentioned anywhere on the pack. But I think its shelf life must be 3 years from mfg.

How to use: After cleansing the face, apply appropriate amount on the face (avoid eyes and lip area). Leave it on until it completely dries. After the mask is dry, remove it from the bottom to the top and rinse the rest with clean water.

My Experience & How I prefer to use: This Charcoal Mask Cream has created a lot of buzz on the internet lately. Everybody was talking about its effectiveness and how desperately they need or want it.bThe blogger’s trial videos were so satisfying to watch that it made me buy it.

I have been using this since 3-4 months now, once every week. I don’t have a lot of blackheads but I have whiteheads. I apply this mask after using face wash and lukewarm water (to open up my pores, a little).

After this mask dries off, I peel it off from bottom to top. The consistency is very thick and you have to apply a good amount of the mask to cover up the whole face and it is really sticky as well.

But it doesn’t bother me much because the quantity is really good at this price range. It takes about 20-25 minutes to dry off completely.

When you peel it off, it really hurts because it sticks to the face so hard and removes thin facial hair, but the pain later gives pleasure when you have a really soft skin after it is removed. You can actually see the dead skin cells, whiteheads and blackheads on the mask after it is peeled off.

But as it claims to clean up the blackheads from deep inside, it doesn’t, it just removes the surface stuffs. I don’t recommend to use it on breakouts because it can worsen the situation of your face as it is way stickier than any other peel off masks available in the market.

I personally like this product as it cleans up my face easily and makes it smoother. I have shared my before & after pictures below: (I have two moles on my nose, hehe!)

• Removes blackheads, whiteheads and dead skin cells to some extent
• Makes skin smooth and fresh
• Gives glow
• Reasonably priced
• Great quantity
• Attractive and good quality packaging
• Removes thin facial hair
• High availability

• Really sticky (painful while peeling off)
• Can worsen breakouts
• Doesn’t deep cleans the face
• Not for people with sensitive skin

Jhalli Diva Verdict: I will rate it 3.8/5 as it works for me but may not work for everyone.

Will I Repurchase?
Yes because it works well for me and is really affordable.

Do I Recommend?
Yes, I would recommend everyone to use Charcoal Anti Blackhead Mask except for people with sensitive skin as it can cause bumps on their face.

Overall Summary: Charcoal Anti Blackhead mask is a good product for those who have a moderate amount of blackheads and whiteheads. It makes the skin smooth, but it is really painful while peeling off.

The quantity is really great at this price range. I love the packaging of the mask, it is hygienic and attractive. The consistency is very thick and it is very sticky and may also remove some of your thin facial hair.

It doesn’t work for deeper blackheads and just removes the surface stuffs. It gives a little glow on skin after removed. Overall, this product is worth a trial for dry, normal, oily and combination skin beauties (not for sensitive skin).

  1. I am naturally wary of all skin care products – lots of grand claims, but few products do anything for my acne-prone skin. BUT I found a mask THAT WORKS. Its the Made from Earth Beetroot Mask. I immediately saw visible results in one application. It leaves skin feeling softer and draws the excess oil out of my pores (I know, ew).

Its in powder form, so you have to mix with water but 100% worth it. Good luck to you!
