Carmex Classic Moisturizing Lip Balm Review

(Last Updated On: June 16, 2019)

Every day we moisturize our face with a good moisturizer, just like that we need something to moisturize our lips as well. Having a good lip balm in your skincare kit is very necessary. I have tried loads of lip balms from Maybelline Baby Lips to Kama Ayurveda’s Vanilla Balm. Just like that,I have this another lip balm from Carmex which I have been using lately and I’m so excited to share Carmex Lip Balm Review with you guys!

Carmex Lip Balm Review

Product Name: Carmex Classic Moisturizing Lip Balm

Price & Quantity: £1.50 for 10 g.

Shelf Life: 12 months from manufacturing date.

Availability: I got this while I was abroad. It is available on Amazon here.

Ingredients: In the image below.

Carmex Original Lip Balm Ingredients Packaging & Appearance: It is a simple tube which is bright yellow in colour and has a red cap. It is a very colourful combination and it is a squeezy tube. So you have to squeeze to get the product out. Variants: Carmex lip balm is available in different fragrances and also in the form of a chapstick or a small jar. I have the classic variant in a tube form. Claims: It soothes & moisturizes. Texture: The texture is like petroleum jelly. It spreads easily on the lips. Smell: It smells like camphor. I personally find the smell of camphor very soothing and nice but if you don’t like it then it might bother you. Swatch: In the image below. Carmex Classic Lip Balm Swatch

My Experience: I had seen Youtubers using this lip balm and mentioning that it is a really good one. So while I was abroad, I saw this lip balm and seeing that it was cheap, I bought it. The fragrance was one thing I really liked but when I applied it on my lips, considering my lips were chapped at that time, it blew me off (in a good way)! This Carmex lip balm is bomb!

I know you must be thinking that it’s just a lip balm, how good can it be? But trust me, you have to use it to know it! It gave my lips a cooling sensation because it has menthol in it and it also soothed them. And if your lips get chappy and cracky a lot then you will you know the importance of a good lip balm. It heals and moisturizes your lips at the same time and makes your lips soft and supple!

Carmex Lip Balm

I am sure you must have heard about Carmex lip balm side effects or the fact of them being addictive. Many theories are there over the internet, some are being backed by proofs, while others are just theories. So, I would like to mention to keep a check on the usage as it can get addictive. Other than that, it is pretty good.

Also, do a patch test before as there are reports claiming that this lip balm isn’t suitable for sensitive skin (lips) and can cause inflammation. Fortunately, I didn’t experience it but I wanted to put it across, especially if you’re a first time user!

● Affordable
● Colourful packaging
● Gives a cooling sensation
● Moisturizes the lips
● Heals chapped lips
● Fragrance is soothing

● Not suitable for sensitive skin

Jhalli Diva Verdict: 5/5

Will I Repurchase? Definitely yes! I already have a backup for it so that by the time the second tube finishes I can get another tube of it.

Do I Recommend? Yes, I do recommend it. It is an amazing balm for your lips. It will care for your lips like nothing else. Even if you do not have chapped or dry lips you can still use this as it feels so good on the lips.

Overall Summary: This lip balm is all you need for your lips. You won’t require any other lip balm if you have this one. It is so good that it is worth more than the money you pay for it. It will heal and soothe your lips and make them hydrated and moisturized for longer period of time and not just for a while. So do get your hands on it if you can!
